Brief bibliography

Daniel Salée’s current research focuses on the emergence and expressions of nationalism among Indigenous peoples in Quebec and Canada. He has been awarded a SSHRC grant to study the impact of Indigenous nationalisms on the shaping of state practices and the democratic sphere in Quebec since 1970. Parallel to this project, he is also working on the politics of citizenship and social transformation in contemporary Quebec. Dr. Salée is a founding member of the Centre de recherche sur l’immigration, l’ethnicité et la citoyenneté (CRIEC) based at Université du Québec à Montréal, and the Director of the Concordia section of the Concordia-UQAM Chair in Ethnic Studies. He is actively involved with DIALOG – le réseau québécois d’échange sur les question autochtones, an FQRSC-funded regroupement stratégique.
